Winter Wonderland Warriors Challenge

I just signed up for a winter challenge over at http://www.lifesjourneywithasmile.com! It's called Winter Wonderland Warriors. It runs from January 3rd to March 28th. I am very excited about this challenge because you get to set your own 10 goals about anything you want, like losing weight, saving money, etc. Whatever you want to work on for 2011 you can put in there. I am going to sit down tonight and write out my 10 goals and post them up tomorrow. Some will be weight loss related some will be money related and who knows what else might show up in them...lol!!! Well anyway off to re-arrange my office area so I have a better work space.

My AWESOME Christmas LOOT!!!

My Christmas was amazing this year. We had a blast visiting family and seeing everyone. My mother in law and aunt in law went-in on my gift together this year. They got me the Nike gym bag, the jump rope, the kettle-ball set and the pedometer from the picture above. My dad and step mom gave us each some money and that enabled me to buy the new running shoes and headphones. My husband bought me the black and pink workout jacket, its a susan g komen "Cure for Breast Cancer" one. I love it all!!! I am very excited to get all these things.
So onto how the eating went for Christmas. I will say I did "ok". I did pretty good with sitting down and only eating a small plate of food. What got me was when I helping cook in the kitchen, all the little bits and bites that found their way into my mouth... oops! Will do better next year. I had a lot of fun relaxing and enjoying the holiday back to the gym tomorrow!!!

As Promised!!!

This is my size 14 Goal dress!!!! I am absolutely ecstatic that I am wearing it!!! It felt great to put it on and have it fit!!! I know I still have a ways to go on this journey, however, right now I feel freakin' AH-MAZING!!! Oh and I dyed my hair red... YAY!!! I can't believe I'm in a 14.... WOW!

WOW!!! And a question?

I have made Monday my new rest day. Today I finally made it to the gym this evening around 6pm. Somehow I decided to try out the exercise bike. And I loved it!!! According to the calorie counter on the bike I burned 1900 calories, IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE??? 10.05 miles. I am so shocked. Now I'm wondering how accurate the machines counters are? And my intake of calories is 1815 Calories for today so a little high. I would like to be around 1500 to 1800 calories a day. So I was only 15 Cals over for today. I can attribute that to the 3 sodas I drank today. 450 calories from soda... MUST CUT THEM OUT!!!
I really am wondering if the calories burned are accurate or the distance?

Ok now that is over. That was fun, some my answers surprised even me. Well today I calorie counted for the first time total calories for today is 1771. I was very shocked at how quickly the calories add up and I need to stop drinking calories. I drink about 2 to 3 12oz sodas and a day and at 150 cals a piece that adds up quick. Today while writing down my food and cal counts I only had one soda all day long. So hopefully I can keep going with the cal counting.
Exercise tomorrow. I think Monday will become a rest day for me and Sunday will be a long walk for exercise. So I will be exercising Tuesday thru Sunday. Well anyway I'm off to bed.

Week 10 Weigh In

-2lbs this week. I am almost back under 250lbs, where I was before Thanksgiving. I can't wait to get there again. I would really like to be in the 230s by the 1st of 2011. My formal dress that I wore for our Christmas pictures was a bit snug. Not surprising considering the week I bought it I had been in the gym everyday and a 16 fit me well. Now I have to be careful with how I sit and its hard to breathe while wearing it. Hopefully by Christmas I will be back to comfortable in it.
Anyway this week I am hoping to do cardio everyday. I really need to start training for my 5K in February.
Any motivational tips or quotes would be appreciated.

WOW!!!! Confidence booster!!!! AAAHHHHHH!

Ok I just got a major confidence boost from one of my best friends Mary!!!
We were texting back and forth about weight loss and she said I think you weigh 190-195lbs. And then she said she thought I probably wear a smaller size than her, and I asked her what she meant. She thinks I wear a size 14 pants and large shirt. OMG!!!! I was like wow girl thanks. I actually weigh 252 and wear size 18Womans pants and XL or XXL shirts. She was floored! And I was shocked to find out that I look so much smaller than I think I do. Major confidence boost!!!
I also bought an extra copy of Shape magazine with Kelly Osbourne on the cover and I cut out pictures of my face and taped them over her face for an image goal! I love it and I am really excited about the motivation my friend just gave me. I mean if I currently look like a 14 and I'm actually an 18W what will I LOOK like at an ACTUAL 14????? Ok so stoked!!!
This weeks plan is CARDIO CARDIO CARDIO and some strength training!!! Last weeks fail and disappointment is over and gone. Tomorrow starts a new week and a new opportunity to SUCCEED! ok woo hoo! I'm on a life high right now!!!

This Week=FAIL!!!

November 29-December 5 Workout Plan
Monday- Zumba, Run 1 Mile, and ABS
Tuesday- Strength Training Upper Body and Run 1 Mile
Wednesday- Zumba, Run 1 Mile, and ABS
Thursday- Strength Training Lower Body and Run 1 Mile
Friday- Zumba, Run 1 Mile, and ABS
Saturday- Strength Training Upper Body and Run 1 Mile
Sunday- REST!

Monday- Missed Zumba, found out I can't run longer than 0.15mile. So I wound up walking most of a mile and jogging the last 0.15mile. I did finish the mile 23.03 minutes, 1.09miles, avg speed of 2.84mph, avg pace 21.05 and avg heartrate of 149.
Tuesday thru Friday- I did absolutely nothing!!! None of my plan except water and eating more fruit/veggies.
My weigh in for week 10 is +1.5lbs.
So i feel like a total loser this week who's pants are getting tight again. Hopefully I can pull myself out of this funk and get back on track.
