Right classroom...wrong time!

Fall 2011
has started!

I have started classes for Fall. I am taking Math 0303 and English 1302. I am very happy with my English teacher, she is so very sweet. My math teacher is nice however, she teaches SUPER fast!!! I will have to be very disciplined and organized to keep up with her.
So about the title of this, I am so definitely a BLOND;
Tuesday was the first day of class and I made the brilliant decision to NOT print my schedule and just put the room number and class in a memo on my phone. Well, I forgot to put the times in my phone. After traffic and having to walk FOREVER to get to the building I had gone to the right classroom but at the wrong time! I felt so dumb!
Anyway finally made it to math and had a great day!
Realized I will need to take a snack for in between classes, almost fell asleep my first day in English. I also have new goals for this semester, by the end of this Fall semester I want to achieve:
1. take all 3 flights of stairs without being winded
2. not feel like my tummy sits on the desk while I take notes
3. be under 200lbs!
Three simple very achievable goals for this semester!
I am very excited!
Dedication and discipline is my mantra for this semester!

Beat the Heat Summer Challenge Week Eight!

I can't find the button anymore, sorry.
Also, I don't have a camera or a high tech phone so I don't have any to import my pics for the week.

What did you do this week to work towards your goals?
nada...nuttin...zilch...zippo.

What did you do this week to make yourself feel fabulous?
I curled my hair and tried new colors of makeup. I also
plucked my eyebrows and it just made my face look a whole
lot cleaner.

What has been your biggest challenge this week?
Getting moving and being motivated.

Do you need neatness and order to feel good or does a bit of untidiness not bother you?
both...let me explain, in some areas of life, like school and budgets I really need
order and neatness. In other areas, like our "living room" i don't mind it being
untidy because that is where our 2 year old has his toys and play area.

Would you rather be attacked by 20 duck sized horses or 20 horse sized ducks?
20 duck sized horses! they would be really adorable.

Beat the Heat Summer Challenge Week Seven!!!

”Weight

Revised Challenge Goals:
1. Read my Bible in 90 Days.
2. Lose 20 to 30 pounds.
3. Take vitamins daily.
4. Drink at least 100 ounces of water daily.
5. Start Running.
6. Save up a Baby Emergency Fund: $1000.

What have you done to help you achieve your goals?
We went grocery shopping and purchased a bunch of
fresh fruits and salad makings. We have also been
eating all of our meals at home(no money to go out).
It's been interesting coming up with 3 meals a day
And seeing how often we were eating out. It was almost
on a once a day basis at a minimum.

What have you done to make you feel fabulous?
Colored my hair! I have also been thinking of
starting another blog that would focus on
money, budgets and becoming debt free, what do ya'll
think of that?

If your house was on fire, and you could grab ONE thing
(outside of people and your computer/laptop,
they are all out) what would it be?
My file/picture box. It has shot records, birth certificates and
our wedding pictures.

Tell us about your blog. Treat it like a book, what’s happened so far?
Nothing...lol jk. Mostly a girl talks about losing weight and has a few
sucessful small attempts but always ends up back tracking. She really
wants to be sucessful but she must first find the motivation to do so.

Fun Question:  Tell an embarrassing story about yourself. No dodging.
When I was 12 or so I got locked in a bathroom at Taco Bell. It was the
first time I had worn a full face of make up. I freaked out! When they
finally got the door unlocked I had mascara and makeup running all down
my face! Another embarrassing story was in the 7th grade I went from gym
class to home ec and then found out my shirt was inside out and backwards.

I can't believe that this challenge is almost over already. It seems like July flew by! I know I haven't been putting pictures up but we don't have a camera and my phone sucks at taking pics.
Thank you for reading, hope everyone has a great week!

Beat the Heat Summer Challenge Week Six!

Weight Wars

Revised Challenge Goals:
1. Read my Bible in 90 Days.
2. Lose 20 to 30 pounds.
3. Take vitamins daily.
4. Drink at least 100 ounces of water daily.
5. Start Running.
6. Save up a Baby Emergency Fund: $1000.

1.       What have you done this week to help you achieve your goals?
Took my vitamins 2/7 days. I consumed at least 30 ounces of water a day, it's not 100 but it's a start. As far as starting running goes...if I could find a pair of shoes that fit my feet I would have started this week. I am having to return a 3rd pair of shoes because they are not wide enough for my chunky monkey feet. Any suggestions on shoes for double wide feet??? The baby emergency fund is slowly starting to build up however we will be using some of it to pay for my tuition for Fall.

2.       What have you done this week to make you feel fabulous?
Deep hair conditioning treatment...ooo la la soft hair! I also bought new mascara and eye shadows.

3.       Do you feel you get everything out of your life? Would you like to change things or are you happy where you are (I know a bit deep but I’m thinking about major life achievements this week achieved and not!)
I am getting everything out of life that I can right now. I am actively pursuing my education, married(awesome hubby) and have an amazing son who starts Day School on September 6th.

4.       What’s your ultimate favourite food? Is it healthy? Can you make it healthy?
My favorite healthy food is STRAWBERRIES. Not healthy food is mac and cheese.

5.       Fun Question: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Personal trainer. I also have a passion to help people get out of debt.

Beat the Heat Summer Challenge Week Five!

Weight Wars

Original Challenge Goals:
1. Read my Bible in 90 Days.
2. Lose 30 to 50 pounds.
3. Take vitamins daily.
4. Drink at least 100 ounces of water daily.
5. Start training for a Half Marathon.
6a. Save up a Baby Emergency Fund: $1000.
6b. Pay off Debt.

1.       What have you done this week to work towards your goals?
I ordered a pair of shoes that I know will finally fit me so I can get started on G2. I am doing ok on my water consumption, I need to drink more still though. G5 will start happening once I get my shoes. Saving money is going ok, I'm not sure if we will hit $1K by the end of the challenge but we will see.
2.       What have you done to make yourself feel fabulous?
I spent the day with a good friend. We went to the nail salon had our nails done and had pedicures. My feat and toenails thank me so much! We also spent some time at the mall and at walmart. It was a much needed break from our kiddos.
3.       How are you finding your goals this challenge? Do you still think you can achieve them?
I am finding my goals to be difficult this challenge. I am not sure that I will achieve them to exactly what I have said my goals are but we will see.
4.       Freebie! If you want to change one goal change it. Explain your decision even if you don’t change any.
I am changing G2 to Lose 20 to 30lbs. I am changing G5 to Start Running. I am also dropping G6B, I just don't think there is enough time left in the challenge to accomplish saving $1K and paying debt.  I am changing G2 because of the amount of time left in the challenge I know I probably won't be able to lose more than 30lbs in that amount of time. I also have changed G5 because I want to just start Running I don't want to pressure my self into a half marathon before I'm ready.
5.       Fun Question: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Your funds are unlimited!
I don't have a specific place however, I can describe it. Snows in the winter, close to the beach in the summer and hopefully never breaks 100 degrees in the summer.
p.s. sorry there is no picture again this week. hopefully next week.
