15 in 15 weigh in

yeah Jillian's 30 day shred kicked my butt on monday!!! I was so sore Tuesday and Wednesday that I could barely move. I have to admit that I have not done the dvd again since Monday. I have just been focusing on still recovering from this horrible cold I have had and now given to my husband. I even went to the dr on wednesday and she prescribed a antibiotic to kick it in the butt. I feel so much better. So anyway thats all for now.

Weigh in post and OMG!

That Which Is Bitter To Endure, Is Sweet To Remember

Last Friday I had a loss of 0.5lb. Not great but its good because I was sick all week and I did not do anything for exercise.
Now onto the OMG part of my title. I just finished doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred day 1 level 1 and OMG!!!!! What a workout! I had no idea I could get that good of a workout at home! I am so happy I decided to do it today. I took the opportunity to do it while my son took his nap. I am planning on doing this during his nap everyday this week. I am very excited and happy that I have the 30 day shred!
Oh and I put this dress on layaway as a goal outfit. Its a size 14 and I am very excited for this dress because I have a pair of Zebra print heels that will look HOTT with it.

15 in 15

That Which Is Bitter To Endure, Is Sweet To Remember

So I am down 2lbs for this weeks weigh in! Which means I have successfully lost 1 pound in the three weeks we have been going!
I am excited for week 4! My plan for week 4 for exercise is go for a 20 to 30 min walk everyday with my son in the stroller. That way he gets to be outside and there is a park not to far from my house so he will get some exercise too!
After having such an extravagant plan last week and failing miserably since I didn't go at all I have decided to take an easier approach to the exercise portion. I am doing pretty good with the diet. I am doing my best to stay away from bread and pastas and sweets. The soda is the most difficult thing to stop drinking!

Mid Week Update

After I posted on Sunday, I went to bed and woke up Monday sick. I am finally feeling better this evening. I have not made it to the gym this week yet because I was running a fever with my cold or whatever it was. After being in the hill country for the wedding this past weekend it probably started as allergies and progressed into a bit of a cold. The one thing that I love about my body is that I get better quickly as long as I take vitamin C and drink a lot of orange juice.
I hope to make it to the gym Thursday before my dentist appointment. So I know its not much of an update but oh well its something. And I have not started my diet yet. Hopefully I can start that by next Monday.

Really LLLOOONNNGGG update!

I apologize in advance for the length of this post, it is long!!!
I tried out Zumba last week. It is so much fun. I was lost at first but I caught on pretty quickly. It was definitely a workout for me considering how sedentary my life is. Wednesday when I went for Zumba class in the evening there were no Zumba instructors available. The substitute instructor was the Cardio Variety class teacher. Oh my goodness that was such a workout! I was almost crying halfway through. I was ready to give up but then I looked in the mirror...and what I saw looking back at me was a girl who had given up so many times before and I knew that if I walked out of that class it would mean another 3, 6, 9 months or a year before I picked up this journey again.
I STAYED!!! That is such a hurdle for me to have overcome. Finally realizing that I deserve to be healthy and fit and live a long happy life is so wonderful. I am worth it!!!
I did not make it to the gym on Tuesday. I just didn't go. However after my realization on Wednesday I think I will be more determined to make it to the gym or find a way to exercise at home EVERY day.
A special thank you shout out the Beth, the instructor, of the cardio variety class for making me feel comfortable in your class.
I binged on Friday...UGH! And I didn't work out on Thursday or Friday! Darn. I really wish I had more discipline.
My brothers wedding was beautiful on Saturday. We had a blast!!! I did pretty good on eating over the weekend. We danced a lot at the reception so I got in some cardio. I am so happy for Jason and Erin!!!
Now onto this weeks plan:

Monday: Zumba and ABS

Tuesday: Upper body strength training

Wednesday: Zumba and ABS

Thursday: Lower body strength training

Friday: Zumba and ABS

Saturday: Upper body strength training

Sunday: Rest Day.
Along with this workout plan I am going to begin the diet I did for my wedding back in 2007. I will be cutting out all soda, white bread and pastas, and sweets. When I did this the last time I lost 45lbs and 5 dress sizes in 2 months. The longest I will do this diet is 3 months. After 3 months I will allow myself these foods again in a healthy moderate ways.
I am very excited and hoping to see a loss on the scale at the end of this week!

Bad Weigh In

At a +3lbs for this weeks weigh in. :( So i was just thinking that if i lost 2lbs last week and gained 3lbs this week, that technically means only a gain of 1lb. So I'm not feeling as bad about it now as I was this morning. However I feel like crap for *binging* on McDonald's for dinner! I mean seriously it didn't even taste that good and I just kept eating it! I couldn't stop. So now I'm watching "Super Size Me" a film by Morgan Spurlock. I'm hoping it will cause me to stay away from McDonald's as much as possible.
Must work on what I eat.
Going to my brothers wedding this weekend! Very excited about the wedding not very happy that I did not lose the 25lbs that I wanted to by this event. However, life goes on, and I will push on and keep trying. I need to change my nutrition. I need to add a lot more of fruits and vegetables. I need to kick cheese and red meat out almost 100%. I will attempt to cut white breads and pastas out of my diet again. Not forever just for a month to start. I MUST CHANGE MYSELF to give my son a healthy outlook on food and a healthy happy life and the hope that he will never have to deal with being overweight. I never want my son to have to deal with the emotional aspects of being overweight or having to overcome his habits (influenced by me) as an adult. I also do not want him to have to deal with the teasing that I had to deal with in school.
Tomorrow is a new day, I will make healthier choices. Tomorrow will be a better day!
I will be posting again on Sunday to talk about how I liked Zumba and too post my planned workout schedule for next week.

Bonus Challenge for 15 in 15!!!!!

I am posting my planned workouts for this upcoming week. I am very excited to have this written down!!!! This is the first time in a LLLOOOOOONNNGGG time that I have actually written out what I plan to do as far as exercise. This is tentative because I am trying some classes at my gym for the first time, if i don't like a class I will substitute something else for that day!!! Anyway here goes:

Monday--Zumba Class 1hr. and Abs

Tuesday--Boot Camp Class 1hr.

Wednesday--Zumba Class 1hr. and Abs

Thursday--Cycle Class 45min. and 15min ABS class(really interested in this class)

Friday--Boot Camp Class 1hr. or Zumba Class 1hr. and Abs

Saturday--Kickboxing 1hr (may not happen, my brothers wedding is this saturday)

Sunday--Rest Day

I am so excited for this week. I will update as much as possible this week to let you know how it's going for me and if I like the classes. From what I've heard about Zumba I will love it. And I know I will like the Boot Camp classes, I have always loved these type of classes or workshops!
I am worried about the Cycling Class, I have never tried it and am not a fan of cycling.

Week 1 Done

Week 1 of 15 in 15 is done. I lost 2 pounds, I am happy with it, I was just hoping for more of a loss. The bonus challenge for this week is to post my planned workouts on here for the next week. I will have them planned out and will post them by Sunday night. Excited for week 2. I am going to push harder and monitor my food even harder this week. I am hoping for a 3lb loss in week 2.
