62 Days...

I have been gone for a long time. It is August and my last post was in June. Sorry it has been so long.
As you can see from the title I have 62 days from Monday August 9th until my brothers wedding.
I am hoping to lose 25lbs by this time. I have also decided that I want to become a runner. I have been reading so many blogs about running and the runners seem to be so happy no matter what. I think I am going to try the Couch to 5K plan to get started. I have yet to try Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I think I am going to combine 30 day shred with couch to 5k and hope for the best results possible. I am still waiting for my blood test results to come back from my dr. I went for a general physical and had her do the normal blood test, diabetes, thyroid, cholesterol, etc etc. I am looking forward to finding out where I am starting out and being able to see how much I can do in 6 months. I believe that 25lbs is a good goal for 62 days from now. I am very excited to see if I can accomplish my short term goal of 25lbs for my brothers wedding. I have a friend who is pregnant and due in late September, when she is ready to start working out she wants to do Zumba with me. I've never done Zumba, I am excited to try it. I think I am going to try it out at my gym this month to see if I enjoy it as much as I have heard other people do.
My last weigh in was about 3 days ago I am 248.5. My weight goal is 223.5lbs. I have never been that low on the scale in my adult life and I can't honestly remember a time when I was in the 220s. Anyway, I am very excited and I absolutely love the blog Endurance Isn't Only Physical by Tricia, she inspires me with her "one day at a time approach" I am adopting this approach and using it for my own weight loss journey and eventual success.
Thats all for now,
RustiAnn

  1. Thank you thank you thank you for the kind words here and on my blog. The main reason I blog is because I hope to show people that it IS possible to overcome obesity. Smart, simple steps make the large goal attainable. Just take it one healthy choice at a time.

I'm so super excited for you and look forward to following your journey. Please stay in touch and email me if you ever need an encouraging word.

  2. I just found your blog through your comment on "Endurance Isn't Only Physical." I'm a lot like you in that I just want to be a runner! I started a training program this week and it's pretty easy. Today I registered for a half marathon (but it's not until March). I'm 240 pounds now but hopefully by then I'll be a lean, mean, running machine.

If your goal is to run, GO FOR IT! :)
